Suboxone Treatment:
A Path to Recovery from Opioid Addiction at
Synergy Mental Health and Wellness Integrated

At Synergy Mental Health and Wellness Integrated, we are committed to providing effective Suboxone treatment in Arizona to individuals grappling with opioid addiction. Opioid addiction can have a profound impact on one’s life, leading to physical and emotional distress. Suboxone, a medication composed of Buprenorphine and Naloxone, offers relief to patients experiencing the often-painful symptoms of opioid withdrawal. It is a vital component in helping individuals overcome the effects of opioids that contribute to addiction.

How Suboxone Treatment Works

Suboxone treatment is designed to address opioid addiction by targeting the very receptors in the brain that opioids influence. By blocking these receptors, Suboxone prevents the feelings of pain relief and euphoria that drive individuals to continue using opioids. This reduction in cravings plays a crucial role in breaking the cycle of opioid abuse. Research indicates that when combined with counseling and comprehensive care, Suboxone treatment significantly enhances a patient’s chances of successfully recovering from opioid addiction.

Intake Evaluation

As the foremost medical opioid treatment program in Scottsdale, SMHWI begins your journey to recovery with a thorough medical and mental health assessment. This evaluation includes a detailed history of substance use. Our experienced Suboxone doctors take the time to explain the medication’s benefits, potential drawbacks, and outline treatment expectations and duration. Typically lasting an hour, this initial appointment may take place online. However, please note that our opioid treatment program requires in-person visits to our clinic as part of your recovery process. If deemed necessary, you may leave this appointment with an order for a drug screen and other laboratory tests, along with a Suboxone prescription.

First Follow-Up Appointment

Scheduled within 7 days following the intake evaluation, this appointment allows the provider and client to assess the effectiveness of the prescribed Suboxone and adjust the medication dosage as needed.

The subsequent four appointments are typically set on a weekly basis to further stabilize the prescribed medication and achieve overall stabilization. Random drug screens, including those between office visits, may be ordered by phone.

Once the Suboxone dosage is successfully stabilized, clients are monitored bi-weekly, with drug screens conducted at each visit. This phase includes both individual and group counseling, typically held at external facilities (with provider signatures confirming regular attendance).
