The eating disorder IOP program includes group therapy and nutritional support and a holistic care team to help each individual feel empowered and gain community. We are here to support your eating disorder recovery journey every step of the way.

Dr. Ehab Abdallah serves as the Managing Partner and MD Psychiatrist at Synergy Mental Health and Wellness Integrated. A distinguished professional, he earned his medical degree from Alexandria University in Alexandria, Egypt, and completed his psychiatry residency training at West Virginia University. Dr. Abdallah holds triple board certifications in General Psychiatry, Consultation-Liaison (Psychosomatic) Psychiatry, and Addiction Psychiatry and Medicine.
An expert in addiction medicine, Dr. Abdallah is experienced in treating psychiatric illness for those with complex medical and psychiatric conditions. Dr. Abdallah is an invaluable asset to our team with a commitment to providing quality care that is reflected in his unwavering dedication to the well-being of his patients.
Dr. Abdallah is also fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry with the University of Arizona where he teaches medical students and residents.
Manda Radulovic RDN is a board-certified Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Manda ‘s passion for trauma-informed and inclusive care brought her to the field of nutrition, specifically within eating disorders.
Manda completed her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from Arizona State University and completed her graduate dietetic internship program from the Maricopa County Dept. Public Health in 2022. Combining her experiences in public health, clinical and behavioral health care, Manda started working within the field of eating disorders in 2022.
Throughout her career, Manda has worked with a variety of populations including; underserved communities, diabetes & PCOS patients, oncology, athletes, and eating disorders. She offers nutrition counseling to people of all ages.
Manda is passionate about providing healing and person-centered nutrition counseling and care for her clients. She practices from a weight-inclusive and health-at-every-size lens. Her evidence-based and individualized approaches to nutrition care, allows space for patients to honor their health while healing their relationship with food, their bodies, and exercise.
Aspen Turney, LAC is a board-certified Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of Arizona.
Aspen completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from North Carolina State University, then continued on to complete her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at University of Phoenix. During her Masters program, Aspen gained experience treating clients with disordered eating, body image issues, anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, and relational issues. Since then, Aspen has completed additional trainings to specialize in treating eating disorders through evidence-based, size-inclusive frameworks, as well as sex and sexuality issues and religious trauma.
Throughout her career, Aspen has served many populations, including: clients with severe mental illness (SMI), clients experiencing suicidality, university students, couples, LGBTQ+ clients, and individuals ages 14+. Aspen currently serves clients age 18+.
Aspen is a passionate advocate for her clients, practicing through a trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and size-inclusive lens. Aspen supports eating disorder clients through Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating frameworks and utilizes therapeutic modalities that encourage clients to rediscover their intuition and values and create a life of authenticity. Aspen partners with fellow care providers, including RDs, PCPs, and specialists to support both clients’ physical and mental wellbeing.
Kathryn Kruithoff, LMSW graduated from Arizona State University with her Master of Social Work in 2019. She has worked in many environments with many different types of patients and feels she has learned something from each one. Kathryn operates from a client centered approach, striving to provide ethical, individualized care which empowers you to access your highest self. Kathryn truly believes that you are the expert on yourself and you already have the answers you need for healing and success within you. Sometimes you just need a little support and guidance when trauma, grief, anxiety, or other stressors start overwhelming your inner wisdom. Kathryn strongly believes in your ability to find healing and wholeness and offers support through EMDR, DBT, MI, Expressive Arts therapies, Somatic Processing, Attachment Theory, Ecological Systems Theory, Strengths Based, and Holistic Approaches.
Kathryn has a strong interest in Evidenced Based approaches and applications to treatment. She is a co-author of two research papers exploring best practices to provide support to those with Substance Use Disorders. Kathryn also believes strongly in trauma informed care and has traveled to Moldova twice to help educate social workers there about trauma informed approaches to treatment. Additionally, Kathryn has fully divested from Diet Culture and takes an anti-diet and HAES approach to treatment; recognizing that intersectionality of identities is an important factor when discussing our relationships to our own bodies and how we relate to others. Kathryn has completed several training programs to learn best practices to treatment approaches to disordered eating, body shame, and eating disorder diagnosis and treatment and is currently in process of becoming a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.
Kathryn is committed to helping you succeed on your journey of healing and wellness; emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Kathryn is ready to provide her expertise in the areas of trauma resolution, substance abuse recovery, disordered eating, body shame, foster care and adoption issues, racial trauma healing and identity formation, and narcissistic abuse recovery. Kathryn has specific knowledge and expertise in the area of identity trauma; specifically, in regards to how our bodies can draw the ire of others due to skin color, neurodivergence, chronic illness, and body shape/size. Sometimes our bodies don’t reflect a societal standard of true worth. This can lead to mental, emotional, and spiritual turmoil; often manifesting as trauma. Resolution of this trauma and understanding of our inherent worth and value sets us on an irreversible path of healing and wholeness. It is in this area that Kathryn has been most gifted with the skills and capacity to help guide to you to freedom and peace.
Amy Sword is a compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Supervisor, and Clinical Director at Synergy Mental Health and Wellness. She provides clinical supervision to associate-licensed therapists, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and ethical social work principles.
Amy’s therapeutic approach blends Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed CBT, Mindfulness, and Polyvagal Theory, tailored to each client’s needs. She creates a safe, empathetic space for clients to explore emotions, navigate challenges, and work toward their goals.
Certified as a Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTS-I) and a level one Solution-Focused Brief Therapy Practitioner, Amy believes “you are the expert of your own life” and fosters a non-judgmental, collaborative space for clients to achieve meaningful goals.
With diverse experience across settings, including schools, crisis units, and outpatient/inpatient care, Amy has worked with individuals of all ages, addressing issues like anxiety, ADHD, depression, PTSD, and substance use. She is also passionate about Compassion Fatigue Prevention for healthcare, behavioral health, and education professionals.
Amy earned her Master’s in Social Work from Tulane University, guided by the profession’s core values of service, social justice, dignity, and integrity.
